Barriers

The Frost poems
try to wake
us to the thread
of our humanity,
to ask us
 to divest ourselves
of all the fear and
vanity,
to see
 through someone else's eyes
 the flower
or the sky.
Why does that seem so hard to do?
But somehow we must try.

Robert Frost is one of the truly geat poets! If only we could all be witnesses to and appriaciative of the simplest treasures and beauties in life! His poetry is immortalized I think, because people want to keep things simple and beautiful.
