Barren

You owned a seed
A seed blessed with health
You sowed the seed
Deep in well watered earth
It tried to feed
On earth with no roots
You saw no weeds
Yet anticipated a shoot
Neither a sign of leaves
But yearned for it's fruit
When you started seeing
With your heart not your eyes
You sadly realised
You sowed your love
Deep in a BARREN heart!
