Notes About The Poem

Barn Owl

Barn owl
silently swoops
spreading its wings, talons
wide with striking impact snatching
its prey.

Enjoyed reading your contest entry. Great # 1..I have only heard their wings once at night when I was out. I am glad he did not try to carry me off. LOL..Thanks for dropping by. Sara

Oh, Sara, I wash my little dog close, I am afraid that one or even a barn owl will take him.

Their silence is stunning in majestic flight and you have captured that beauty marvelously in your lovely Cinquain Eve. I love the moving image of the owl in flight too. Aren't they gorgeous creatures! xxoo

Very good one. You told me steel blue. It's funny but my mom and driver's license say green. However. I think steel blue is a bit more accurate although there is also a touch of green! What color are your eyes?
