Bard
How can one put in words
What is appropriate to say
The bard has put so many letters
In the form of sonnet, poetry and play
He is a genius in his profession
A loss to the world when he departed
It has been hard to find a writer to replace him
Many have probably tried but stopped before they started
The scenes he created
Are complex, bold and have no compare
Epic characters he brought to life
The stories they lived, we could, but do we dare?
Mr. Shakespeare, you are the grandest bard
Since your time, literature has not been the same
To have lost your talent was truly sad
Your stamp in time we honor, as well as your unique name
