Notes About The Poem

Banana, 'Here Boy'

"Banana", that was his name a mixed breed, all the same in Hawaii, they are called "Poi" dogs pronounced as, "Poy" not as deploy but as in decoy he is also a male dog, a boy, as puppies, they are "sire" breeding, they are for hire and they are known as a stud, as a puppy, his name was "Bud" because he ate bananas we changed his name, instantly. He was our pet and not a hunter, like the other dogs, he is a player, the other dogs know their stuff, and you never call their bluff, Banana can also be not very nice, he only is that way if you are mice, Not for breeding, he is just a dog. "Ili'o" is Hawaiian for a dog, pronounced "e-LEE-oh", something good to know. Now he is up in doggie Heaven, being with me since I was eleven, human years, he was 17 years old, now his heart is eternally gold. Love you BOY!!!
