Ban That Idol

God hates idolatry of every kind
to tolerate such sin he will not
in this modern age people bow down
idolising this repeatedly into its slot

The mobile/cell phone call it whatever
people can't seem to live without it
it's always on their hand or in the ear
whether to speak or text never to quit

It kills conversation to be little
giving no opportunity to truly converse
no matter where you are about
on the bus, mall all that commerce

There's a rudeness portrayed by this
so I would ban this in the public place
it's important when you've an emergency
but you don't want it always in your face

Oh my this is really amazing. The mobile phone indeed becomes an idol - a master of time and attention, it seems to control the person that owns it. A very relevant and timely, strong poem in the modern idol.
