Ball and Chain

It seems all I know how to do is cry,
  It hurts so deep I feel like I'm going to die.

    A smile never comes I sit and frown,
  I can't get HIGH I can only come down.

    It's hard to believe I'm going to be ok no one does,
  I just want eternal sleep just because.

    You were here and gone so fast,
  I really believed what we shared would always last.

    In your love I could always believe,
  Me without you I cannot conceive.

    I would never want to hurt you I would not engage,
  I never thought I could look at you and feel the rage.

    All I want is for you to take away the pain,
  I don't want my heart to wear this ball and chain.
