Bad Weather

I'm trying to get back to you
but the feelings shown could not be fooled
We came so close to being together
but it all fell out due to certain weather

And when rain begins to fall
and light veins circulate to dance
it's hard for us to stand on a stumbled chance
A chance that scraped our knees to give a painful break

Yet I hoped by memory, that on a stormy day
every time you'd carry an umbrella, it would remind you for me to stay
But for some reason, that protective coverage would fail
and each drop would make you forget, all the good times that sailed

I stayed away for far too long, and left your mind when I was gone
by leaving you I left a hiss, of all the love I gave by kiss
But all this bad weather has made me miss, all the good times I could of wished
you left the good and drank the bad, which made you regret the love we had...

Love the title, Jess - Very enticing! Good start, you don't need to struggle so much to find rhymes. I find every other line lets it flow, then I can play with the other two. Bottom line - if it feels good, do it!
