Bad News Is All Around Us

Everyday I wake up and hear the news Somebody’s been murdered, another child has been abused When will the pain ever stop and where will the poverty end When is hopelessness and misery going to stop being the trend Thousands of people dying each and every day Thousands of children being abused in every way Even more sick and diseased are dying Leaving more still sad and crying What is it gonna take for you and me To make this world a little more happy How long is it gonna keep going on Until something is finally done Why is the hope all gone from every person’s heart When will the horrendous human condition depart And give way to a better happier time Isn’t that something we are all wanting to find Come on right now and help me out Let’s end all this suffering once and for all without doubt
