Bad Dreams
Today I wanted to abandon my unpleasant dreams
Of past failures and evil people with horrid schemes
Dreams that move across my mind like a wild train
Traveling aimlessly to the darkest part of my brain
I was disturbed by bright colored cinematic scenes
The dreams showed old foes acting much too serene
As their young children were put to sleep for good
I realized they were boy scouts likely misunderstood
The calm inside it could not slow this rickety train
And I knew such schemers would never feel any pain
But then I developed paranoia and sudden withdrawal
That resulted in me dreaming of a tall border wall
Where people I do not know were climbing up high
Then I woke up to a window view of a dark cloudy sky
