Bad Days

It seems God doesn’t listen when I pray
And all the fearsome bad days are here to stay

No matter how hard I try to overcome crisis
It lingers like a leech on my life to ruin my peace

Year after year I am looking for love
I would go abroad if I were a dove

Now I am a middle-aged man and furthermore poor
As if I am still begging for love from door to door
