BAD CHOICES

•BAD CHOICES• In the dance of love, they chose amiss, Partners whose embrace stung like a kiss. It's a world of nuts thread and bolts, Also, a world of sharpeners and pencils.4 The sharpener is in a union with a nut thread, Oh, what a misfit, though a disaster withheld. The pencil found solace in a bolt head. According to feelings, a match quite unique,8 But deep inside, their hearts yearned for a love to seek. Days went by but the pencil grew weary & alone, The sharpener struggled to find a place to be shown.¹¹ We witnessed the allure of their charming art, But soon their love became a poisoned dart. In their eyes, a tempest lurking deep, Their promises, like shadows, couldn't keep.¹5 They mistook their lies for the sweetest truth, Oh, how they yearned for the days of youth. Destiny created a scene, as their paths align, In an unexpected twist, their feelings intertwine.¹? A spark ignited, a connection unsurpassed, As the pencil & sharpener crossed paths at last. But from their misstep, they couldn't emerge anew, A heart once soldout to false choice, now beats true.²³ For in the pain of wrong steps of those days, They found the light & vision of a better place,²5 And learnt a lesson in the school of choices; Whether it's in marriage or any endeavour, The sad truth might be too late to savour. Don't wait for long & still make a bad decision. Making the best choice should be your mission.³° •Vick Manuel Poetry• {VMP} FORM: Rhymes Copyright © December 27th, 2023.
