Back Home To Me
Your words burn through me
as though I’ve heard them before,
Your voice is familiar;
a comfort,
Your glance rekindles something
deep inside, a memory!
I am not a stranger to you,
you finally recognize me,
How fragile our hearts,
How trusting our souls,
How loving God’s care,
If in the end it’s meant to be,
You’ll find your way back home to me,
Your eyes are the most beautiful
I have ever seen,
Ever will see . . .
My eyes are the mirror to your soul,
A reflection of many lifetimes
and all the secrets they’ve revealed,
Holding closely our hearts
in waiting to be healed,
How knowing our spirits,
How heavenly our lives,
How certain God’s promise,
My heart trusts and I believe,
You’ll find your way back home to me,
But how knowing our spirits,
How infinite our love,
How sweet God’s compassion,
Your heart will trust and you’ll believe,
And find your way back home to me,
You’ve found your way back home to me.
