Baby of Jimmy Kimmel

Heart Does Have Defects

After thorough cardiac exam a doctor detects
Jimmy Kimmel's baby does have heart defects;
Along with all of this NICU is extremely necessary
In an emotional situation that appears to be scary.

For Jimmy's family created much sorrow and hurt
And to ease suffering and pain will need comfort;
Thankfully, on a great support system can rely
So that their poor, sickly baby never needs to die.

Jimmy now does pray to God each and every day,
Saying, "Alive allow our baby to remain and stay;"
His religious belief will make him become brave,
So he won't have to see frightful site of a grave.

What happens sometimes when Jimmy is gone,
His tears in both eyes appear to go on and on;
Why people have to go through much misery
Am sure is a big mystery to both you and me.

Retired Veteran and Poet

NICU is Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
I still remember the name Jimmy. I
was normally called Jim in normal
everyday life. I was called Jimmy
when special emphasis was being
placed on my name like when
it was time to come home for supper.
I can still hear my mom call:
Jimmm-Meee. That meant I had
better beat feet home. That is what
Jimmy Kimmel's mother was saying
to him and see your son who is in
the hospital. Don't know if Kimmel's
mother is still alive though.

This is a very touching tribute for Jimmy, Mr. Horn. I can't imagine the pain he's going thru but I will say a prayer for him and the baby. God bless... Hugs :)
