Axonia

Axonia I dreamed of this distant land, Where people slept under the stars, And they loved one another, For who they are. The farmlands stretched for miles around. And the birds sang high notes, And the maidens sang as they worked on the fields, Always a varied tone. No ghastly politics, No dangerous terrorists, Only a scene of serenity, A heaven on this earth. The people loved the harmony, The place they loved so, Asked to exchange for a million pounds, Yet they said no. Ah! I wish this place existed on this earth, Where everyone would be calm, Resting under the shade, Of a green desert palm.
