Awesome Gift Dear Lord I have a prayer for you I am in desperate need right now I am not a nice person after all And I wonder if you could help somehow I have a bitterness growing in me And I am afraid it will turn to hate I don’t want to feel this way I need help before it’s too late Let me tell you my sad story I know you listen with open mind He lied cheated and stole from me And he has left me in quite a bind I feel I have been betrayed And the lies that crossed his lips Joins up with pain of losing love And has torn my heart to bits So now dear Lord you know why I have this desperate need I don’t want to spoil my soul And of this I must take heed I thank you Lord for helping me And I know this is in advance But you are always there for me And that is not at all by chance I am beginning to feel a little better now Because you gave me the power to forgive That is an awesome gift dear Lord By forgiving I can now really live Connie Moore
