Awareness

If I was my shadow and the shadow me- it would not care enough to realize that I exist Sounds that come to me in the nights; the highways against trucks racing against the dark; stray dogs barking against the silent walls; my racing heart against the death harp- I’m unaware enough to pass them by and not say ‘OM!’ Visions that chase me in the screaming lights; the stars that I don’t know if they still exist!! My awareness! if it is aware of it? My awareness, desires me to be aware of it!! My awareness!!
