Awaking from stupor

Not even sure that I am awake
Must get up for duty’s sake,
Stumble to the door
Not sure what I am there for.
Reason just won’t come.
Maybe coffee will help some.
The buzzing in my head ,
It’s just my tinnitus that I dread
Not explaining - you cant hear it.
Trust me its vexatious to the spirit.
Never stops just keeps going
Sounds like a bathtub overflowing
Need something to clear my brain,
I think the room is spinning again.
Was I in someone’s arms last night ?
The vision is totally out of sight
I remember clinging
I seem to remember singing
Why did I drink so much last night?
Did I think I would wake all right?
I am still standing at my door
To hear enlivened silence once more
Would bring pleasure and joy
If only the sound in my head I could destroy
My whole body feels like a blooper
No fun waking from this stupor.
