Awakening

Oh, silver haze on lovely days
wraps life in silhouette.
Amazing, serene calm displays
a soul can not forget.

The mirror glows with ambiance
and sooths my troubled soul
as filtered rays of life then dance
to comfort and console.

Oh, misty morning melodies
of songs so silky sweet.
The sunlight strikes the aqua keys
in this forest retreat.

Before dawn bids the night good-bye
and brilliantly unfolds,
it's like a brooch across the sky;
like emeralds set in gold.

Oh, shattered shards of shining light
shall shimmer through the shrouds.
As souls of dawn are drawn from night
and clamor through the clouds.

The water bids all creatures come
as shadows then arise.
The forest spirits set to hum
and slip from dark disguise.

The nectar of victory spills,
the act of morning ends.
The sighing sound of morning trills
and sweeps night 'round the bend.

The forest waits to cleanse my heart
and gently frees my mind.
It fills me with such intense art
that I can't leave behind.
