Awakening

Awakening . . .

You touched my life
and I will never be the same.

The mark you left colored
the very root of my transparent being.

You touched my life
awakening me to the beauty of love.

The lessons you taught
enabled me to grow out of my imperfection.

You touched my life and for the first time
I feel whole.

The emotion you gave moved me
beyond my imagination.

You touched my life and
I can hear my heart beat.

The warmth you uncovered
wrapped itself around me.

You touched my life
and then you went away.

What you taught, gave, uncovered,
is longing for a chance to be rediscovered!
