sorry sometimes I need a rewrite, excuse please
In my dream they were an old couple wrinkled
small and gray smiling faces wishing us well
as I was growing old myselff with crinkled eyes
away from any medical unexpected surprise
instead I felt the sun’s warmth, the trees, blue skies
and all the potential with future bright living days
my husband was no longer in a hurry
no running to the pharmacy at Safeway
instead we walked in the rocky cliffs by the bay
hearing the tumble and rumble of waves
the seal barks, surfers shouts, the ocean spray
no worries about hidden dangers of infections
no tired, achy muscles. no daily injections
only reflections and projections of life
of music and lights with the body’s insistence
moving through the earth with persistence
to fight for the life of the forests and seas
to listen to the rhymes of music’s dances
the light of transcendence the reality of excellence
the sentient force organic in the cosmic universe
that transforms all life in an open free existence
And when I awoke in the light of the sun
I heard the small birds' songs ——-
——- offering my heart their assistance
