more oft
than not
we see
so feel
the pulse
as it
slowly
nears us
looking
for an
open 
window
or door
maybe 
a niche
onto
which it
may latch
then thus
enter
our soul
etching
therein
imprint 
that does
contract
presence 
for which
it then
it takes
eons
to cleanse
so dear
hermit
let us
here now
cognise
with a 
mindful
eye and
discern
nature
of that
that does
approach
being
mostly
shallow
desire
or fear
borne of
ego
