Notes About The Poem

Awaken By This Knowing

To create, sustain, destroy, conceal and reveal
Are innate powers five whose effect in form we feel
Myriad fears and desires in dreams conjured interplay
Until in void of cessation we decide to call this play a day

Our bondage is ignorance arising from identification with form
Vaporised gradually when graced by a magnetic bliss storm
A caress divine that slowly awakens us from deep slumber
Beheld by contracted consciousness in childlike wonder

Cessation of fears and desires makes us empty within
It’s then that we slowly regain our true nature free from sin
Recognising the world as but illusion, the false ego falls away
One with oneness, God’s love and light becomes soul’s mainstay 

As long as we entertain the slightest belief of separation from God
We deny ourselves, in mind-body granting not to love our nod
For love alone is real, which resolves all conflicts of ego
The way to heaven then is easy, as we just let go

My sister wrote a beautiful poem on this subject but has been rather shy to share it, I wish she would. I won't share it without her permission, it was a revelation that had waken her in the night, and she was too tired to write down, thinking she would remember. She then prayed and begged to have it shared with her again, and again was wakened from her sleep with the words! The second time she got up and wrote it down, it is powerful!
