Awake
Awake ©
white clouds of dogwood
geese trumpet beside the pond
bird song heralds morn
hollow makes a nest
dainty dwelling slumbers on
in the wooded gloom
screen door creaks open
smoke swirls from the chimney mouth
cabin stirs awake ~
