Awaiting Rain

Here's a couple of haikus I wrote this morning! Hope you enjoy reading it as I had a joy writing this. These haikus are meant to be together. Please leave a comment down below too to show your appreciation. Thank you! ~ =^) JWE

~×~×~×~×~

I long for the rain
To wipe away my lone fears
To drain these tears

I wish for the rain
To backtrack my train of thought
Don't leave me to rot!

I hope for the rain
To douse me with delight 'gain
Overflow in me...

I pray for the rain
To rinse away the past pain
Drenched in bliss, not vain

I dream of the rain
As it gently falls on Earth -
Marinated mirth

I like how you used the haiku to extend the emotion in this poem. This feels like blues. Nice!
