Average Man
got a basic sense of decency
willing to lend a helping hand
a kindness in his heart
for principles he'll make a stand
rich he'll never be
money doesn't mean that much
tries to keep his faith
with the lord he stays in touch
he's not in any history book
was never in the plan
but leaves his mark none the less
just the average man
