Autumn's Brilliance
Fall has taken a deep breath
And is blowing summer out
Summer's warm winds are leaving
But she’s going with a pout
It’s not her time to go yet
She’s not getting to have her say
The cool winds of autumn
Are getting in her way
The scents from the garden are fading
The fruit almost all gone
The leaves are curling turning brown
No longer reaching for the sun
For the trees this is their season
The leaves will all go but first
They will show in all their glory
In red, orange and gold they will burst
You have to admire fall
With her brevity
She may not be around for long
But she leaves so brilliantly
