Autumn Wind

Autumn Wind

A rushing stranger, pushing a door

Freezing fingertips, embracing my pore

We meet face to face, lifting every tendril

of my limp hair, numbing my ear

You continue..

Poking through my knitted beanie

Groaning around my scarfed nape

Wedging in on my unbuttoned down

Swaying up my reluctant sequined gown

You never stop

Trickling into my sweatered arms

Disarming my unpretentious charm

Pausing over my bounding pulse

Coursing along my stiffened spine

Autumn wind why such persistence?

You invade my frail defense

Here I am cursing you instantly

As I walk through the way

Where you careen tremendously..
