Autumn Idyllic Fantasies 9/25/2023 Little girls and boys have the sweetest dreams! Perhaps, all would love, owning a dog.. Or the girls..…soft, pink, toe shoes, the color of strawberry ice cream? On the other hand, boys might like to be the owner of their own frog? Lie back on a swing, with eyes closed, all you hear is the calmest of a breeze. Like old friends, sweet memories are hummed by a verdant orchestra of friendlly, leaves. Going back in the rowboat on an imaginary, sunlit, summers’ lake! Now you dream of sharing with others, When the moon and stars, were all yours, sparkling for you, to just take. For in the end, we discover we are humanity’s true sisters and brothers! We simply are interesting like books with different content and attractive front covers!

What an endearing poem with some fantastic imagery. I agree...we're all sisters and brother...each one different with beautiful covers. Love the book cover metaphor! Sometimes I want to go back and revisit for sweet childhood dreams, temporarily, and rediscover that little girl's soul. Just a beautiful creation. A fav for me, Sara

Sara! You are a beautiful being and the light of your young girl’s soul, still burns brightly. I think of my little girl days. too, with affection + gratitude. Days of jumping rope, chasing butterflies Or…..on swings…. Trying to touch the hem of God’s azure heaven! Pangie xx

Love this poem dear Pangie and the picture is perfect too! Such a lovely, unique way to express the celebration of autumn and I love the title! Love the second stanza in particular ‘calmest of a breeze’ Lovely! Lots of great imagery.A poignant message to conclude this delightful, dreamy poem. Where would we be without our dreams? Thank you my lovely for sharing. Hugs and smiles to you. X :):)

Christine, I posted this thinking nobody can trilateral to it? I was super critical of the image as well. I see I was quite wrong.I, too, favored the 2nd stanza ..you know, as adults, there is still beauty. But, you have to have inner peace to find it,. I know I have turned a sharp corner in my poetry, thanks to close poet friends. It’s like I entered the city of the heart! A great name for poem, would you agree? Many thanks for your precious time…dear one! Pangie xx
