Autumn Dream

What coincides with falling leaves?
Shorter days and longer sleeves.

So strange, the trees should now disrobe.
As snow descends upon the globe.

To bring the land to the edge of death.
Fall soon succumbs to winters breath.

Eternally chased by the bitter sting.
Autumn's one dream is to meet with the spring.

A witty and amusing write, Joe! Autumn doesn't have a whole lot to look forward to, besides heading into the deep freeze for a few months.:( I hope you're feeling well and perky! Best wishes, Mikki
