Autistic

A mazing child full of life
Unconditional relentless love
Touched by angels through the strife
Insightful blessings from above
Struggles with communication
Tries with joyful anticipation
Intelligence beyond the norm
Child of God within the storm

As a father of a 20 year old autistic son, I can truly relate. We have our good days, we have our bad. All in all, he's our child from God. A wonderful message! God bless U!...Milt

This is beautifully expressed, Vince..."Child of God within the storm". They are blessed in ways that some may not grasp, but they will leave a warm and loving impression. I'll send this to myself to share with others...thank you! Keep well...Mikki :)

I've heard of some autistic children being especially gifted. "Child of God within the storm." Beautifully descriptive. Love, daver

Vince, I wanted to thank you for coming by and reading so many of my poems today. Wish I could stop by more of yours but time limited. bout this one, it's a good topic for acrostic. I really feel for parents of these kids. How neat the way you put it: Child of God within the storm. Do you ever watch parenthood? What do you think of the kid in that show? My sister's youngest is autistic, though not super severely. He is a challenging kid but we have to just love them!

This touches the heart, and each word is so true, a difficult journey, but unconditional love are the key words of your poem.
