Author and Finiaher

AUTHOR AND FINISHER The author sat with pen in hand, a thought came to his mind, And then with care he wrote the words, the best that he could find. The book he wrote sold very well; it brought to him great fame, And everywhere he went from then the people knew his name. But I have found the author who began a precious plan To come to earth so long ago as He became a man; When He hung there on Calvary and shed His blood so pure, He finished there salvation’s plan and made it e’er secure. I may not gain the fame of some who have books on the shelves, Whose names are known all o’er the world, get riches for themselves, But Christ began a work in me that I know He’ll complete, And some day I will see His face and bow down at His feet. Yes, I have found the author who began a precious plan Who came to earth so long ago as He became a man. When He hung there on Calvary and shed His blood so pure, He finished there salvation’s plan and made it e’er secure. My friend, have you looked in His book that tells His love for you? Have you become acquainted with this author kind and true? Do you trust in His finished work, His blood shed on that tree? Is He author and the finisher of your faith eternally?
