I hate the loss, I read an article the other day that says Koalas a now, "functionally extinct"; soon there may not be enough to recoup the species because of lack of eucalyptus trees and poaching. Sad. A heart-wrenching haiku, well done.

So sad. You are all in my prayers, and the animals too. I saw they were dropping sweet potatoes and carrots to try and save the starving animals.

At last viewing of the horror story that unfolds, we are dropping tonnes of vegetable and fruit over the areas devasted by fire, so our native animals have food. We are thankful and grateful for the kind and generous assistance from other countries, with special note to American firefighters, who stand with us in our country at present. This could be happening in America or other areas of our world. Surely this is the negative result of Climate Change. Your poem indicates we are united as humanity, hopefully in these times. It is a travesty! I am saddened by it daily.
