Aussie Green Frogs

Our green frogs would croak n croak, and in our rainwater tanks they spoke. a sort of hollow sound. When the rain finally come, 3 years of drought, don’t run, Dogpaddle in the water brown, River is a coming down, Mosquito will cause a frown, Grass is growing, clown. Some.

I loved you write Don! Was this a real life situation with a drought and all? It feels very real! Love your humor and work!!

Very real mate 400 miles west of Brisbane, 3 year old kids saw rain for the first time. Then we have the plague, mossies and sandflys in billions....both want your blood... so smoke buckets in the house....

Great verse Don, I used to play with them as a kid and loved how they hopped. I hope they ate all your mosquitoes!

mossys were in billions, horses trotting to try to keep free of mossys...we made smoke fires for them ....the rain water tasted froggy but it was all good:)

Clever shape like a frog and word play. Fun poem.
