Aurora

Day turns to night
With the flash of a light
The stars in the sky
Are lights in his eyes
Iridescence of the moon
Reflect on the dunes
A rainbow of colors
The sand is smothered
With the blues
The greens
And the reds
A parade of sparks
Making their marks
On the couple below
Watching the glow
As they dance
And prance
In the sand
Of the land
Of the blues
The greens
And the reds

I once saw a history show on the Aurora lights. I took notes and thought that they are so fantastic. So, it was much enjoyed to read your poem today on the Aurora Lights. Thanks for your very kind comment on my poem "stars." I'm glad that you like it a lot!" i'll keep reading your poetry! love, Susan
