Auf Wiedersehen
A shaft of sunlight
cleaves their reveries
and the spell evaporates,
their fate is sealed,
their goose is cooked!
Morning-mouthed,
bedraggled, the reality of day
makes for a rude awakening
as reluctantly they say
'auf wiedersehen.'
