Attacks On the Bible

ATTACKS ON THE BIBLE God’s word has taken such attacks from its enemies each day, They’ve thought that they know all the facts and have a better way. But there’s never been a conquering force, no power ever great That’s halted God’s word from its course, its message to abate. Some thought through efforts they would take its message from the earth, And yet God used them for His sake to give it greater birth! Some thought through persecuting trials they’d silence every voice, But that just sent it through more miles as men made it their choice. And still today the battles rage, some new, some still the same, Man tries to change the written page, or give it a new name. They claim it’s hard to understand, its language is archaic, And so they give it to some man new words to from it make. Yet they don’t realize or don’t know they don’t make it more clear, They just attack God’s word more so, yet they don’t seem to fear. It’s time to stop all this mad race and take God’s word so plain, Return it to its proper place within our hearts again. It’s not God’s word that should be changed, its sentences revised, It’s we who need be rearranged, applying it to our lives! For all the time that we spend in our critical attacks, The Word of God says this is sin, it’s we who have been lax! God’s word still speaks to man today, its message still the same, It still will have the final say when from His throne’s proclaimed.
