At Their Words

The girl who has no love at home Sits there in her room at night alone No one comes to answer her tears No cuddle of comfort at her shoulders She shivers in the coldness of her parents At their words... If only they knew, how hard it was If only they knew, the lonliness she faced Each and every day and night How she longed to be there perfect daughter But she always failed, not good enough Their words stung her to her core Her heart bled as they called her cold She doesnt care about us, they say When in truth she loved them in her way The way they raised her with no affection
