At the End of the Tunnel

At the end of the tunnel, I saw a bright light
I had lost all hope and faith for what was in sight
It seemed to long of a walk and wouldn't make it like before
My life was a wreck, nothing in my life could be restored
I heard someone whisper, "Don't give up now."
"You can do it, I showed you how." I aimlessly started to walk, afraid of being an outcast
My mind kept drifting back, back to the past
Heard that whisper once again, "let the past go, get a grip."
I heard that so many times and knew it was time to go on this trip.
I finally realized I had to get that hope back I once had
Get my faith back, smile more and be happy, not sad
Now my mind became clear, I was getting a grip of reality again
I was almost there, and seen someone
The light at the end of the tunnel was close, just around the bend
My heart finally was able to mend

There before me was the light
I finally had made it through
I was able to overcome it
My hope and faith was back, too
