at summer's end

White blossoms nearly hidden
by the greenery of early spring
only hint at the bounty awaiting us
in the long days at summer's end.
Is it true that youth
          is wasted on the young?

A fantastic poem, Chetta. The older I get the more I realize you are right, youth is wasted on the young.

Or as Johnny Cash sang "When I've learned enough to really live I'll be old enough to die!"
