At Last

~~ ~~ At Last ~~ ~~

I stretch my legs,
I stretch my toes,
Breathe in deep,
Thoughts compose.

Take pen in hand,
Open notebook,
Start to write
Then take a look.

Thoughts in head
To paper go.
This is how
My poems grow.

Stretched out on
Comfortable bed,
Transfer to paper
Thoughts in my head.

Sometimes good,
Sometimes bad.
The fact I'm writing
Still makes me glad.

Writer's block,
A thing of the past.
I am a poet
At last, at last!

I'm glad you have found a way to relax and receive that much-needed inspiration, Francine. Been trying to write some, but my computer time is limited now. You have a very good entry for the "Inspire" contest here! Always sending winning wishes your way. Love, Carolyn
