At Last

The journey to greatness began with a single thought
In the precincts of the mind where all battles are fought,
And I found both hands and feet
Motioning in full temper with it.

And all the battles of dark and light
That my heart had been given to fight
Were put to rest in a while;
And nothing could my eyes beguile
That ahead I saw sure rays of hope
Beyond the human ken and scope.

At last have rejoiced all lovers of sense
And all that detest offense,
For it's won the battle of of mind and will;
All storms are calm and the sea is still.

Steady the sail,
Strong the resolve once frail.
