At All Costs

Picking up the pace, instead of lagging
Focused on me, not when others are nagging
And continually bragging
No matter if the scales are tilted or even
Following through on what I believe in
During every season
In any region
Using logic and reason
Below the stars, moon and sun
I've got to get it done
Instead of sweeping another one under the rug
In order to overcome
Regardless if the burden and boulder weighs a ton
Reaching toward a higher plateau
In the light and shadows
As well as the deep or shallows
Near and far from aloe
At all costs
Stepping it up another notch
Thinking outside the box
