Asylum Walls

All these noises
All these voices
How close are we all
To asylum walls

I curse and I cry
I crave and I call
Out to the shallow
To the demons and dreams in my shadow

Make it go away
Make it stay
This is living hell
This is me in a cell

Empty words
Hollow promises
Sickening
Shallow souls
Searching for the same thing

Where does it end
When we're already bent
Broken and numb
You took my sun

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Have a blessed New Year.
