Astatine

Crowd noises are ringing as I peep by the window, It's another night in the month of fall, I'm just a nobody, barely got a fellow, But i'm very special in the eyes of them all. Everybody wants me like i'm a celebrity, They adore me so much like i'm a hero, They watch me day and night like the paparazzi, Barely have a sleep, they want every moment of me. To them, my simple moves are like thunder and lightning, So loud but bizarre, like the odd bells ringing, Like a sole drop of water or a pint of food for surviving, A bare necessity but so raw and fright'ning. They ring bells everyday, like it was yesterday, They want others to believe that I blunder every way, Like a doctored tape or a trick in a movie, My tale is a blockbuster without time for delay. Oh Lord! What did i do right to be very special? What did i do right to deserve such attention? Like i'm just a poet without pins in my collar, But every time i do something, bells are ringing from afar. The odd bells are ringing, they are all about me. But what the fuzz? I'm just a nobody! Why waste too much on me, like i'm a celebrity, Like i'm Che Guevarra or Jose Marti? Is this really a gift, Lord please tell me, i'm puzzled, Like a pilgrim in a holy land, i'm startled and baffled, For if what I know is the only reason, It must be Astatine to deserve such attention.
