Assumptions

I do not feel I need to know
Too much assumption, too much worth
Just dreams I really need to show
To that someone I presumably love

That someone who ought to be
That someone who no one can see
Do I only know your simplest qualities?
Or am I one who calms your darkest mystery?

In exchange, we have one another
We do not share but we trade with our lives
Perhaps the lesser to know the better
To only assume once more when answers denies

That someone without you
That someone I only knew
Do I only know of moments until
Or am I one who has the time to deal?

Yet... I do not feel I need to know
To that someone I’ve always love
Simply my dreams I need to show
Without assumptions... just my worth
