Asleep and Awake

My retreat invites me nightly,
Holds me there -and oh, so tightly.
Once again thatsweet endeavor,
It repeats -'Oh Sleep so clever.

Returning from my nightly slumber,
Where for moments all life flies.
I view a yawning -dawning morning,
Through sleepy -slitty -peepy eyes.
