Asking Love

Raise me high
Above them all
Hold me tight
Don’t let me fall

Keep me warm
Safe in your arms
Fight my fears
Keep me from harm

Call me baby
Hold my hand
Grant my wishes
Make them grand

See me for
The beauty within
Not just the outside
Look past my skin

Look into my soul
See with your eyes
Seek all you want
I have nothing to hide

Be my shield
Protect my heart
Please don’t let it
Fall apart

Make me laugh
Don’t let me cry
Stay with me
Don’t say goodbye

Promise me
You’ll never go astray
Because without you
I won’t make another day

Christine - In the fifth stanza the last word should be hide and not hid - other than that small typo this is another great poem - It is also a Rhyme - God Bless
