Asking Alot

I want to sink into a poem
Wrap the words around me like an over sized blue baby blanket or a snugglie
A blanket
Slip in deep to the hot bubbly cleansing and sweet smelling phrases
A bath
I want to dash through a verse
Breathing heavy as I slice into the winner's tape
A race
Waving off the balcony the world rushes away beneath me as I go on my adventures
A rail
I want to sip on a rhyme
Tasting the lemon and lime on my lips as the wine takes me on a trip past time
A drink
Hearing me think, but not caring because of ink is still wet and pink
A dare
I want to care with poetry
Opening my arms to the human species
A hug
Closing my heart to the fear
A healing

What do you want?

What a rush poetry gives us, Autumn. Surely it is like a total cleansing of the inner self and the means to total healing. I believe this is what most of us want. Wonderfully written, Autumn! Love, Carolyn
