Ask Me Not

Ask Me Not

         Dr Ranjit Dutta

Don't ask me
Why I wander alone or
Ask me not why
My path is overgrown.
Don't ask me the truth
That I left unspoken or
The mysteries that
My heart invokes.
Some wounds run deep
Some scars shine bright
Some stories hold
Silence inside.
Ask me not
Why my heart is bitter
Even that why
I smile with you .
Don't ask my tears
The pain behind ,
Never ask my shadow
How I reside within.
For darkness
I found the new way,
For silence
I found a new day,
Beyond darkness
I'll find a new Sun oneday,
But, till then
Ask me not why.
